My name is Jared, but you may know me better as the obnoxious loudmouth @402puck on twitter. I have been following Omaha hockey since my family had season tickets day one at The Civic, and there has not been a single point in the history of this program where media coverage was worse than it is right now. So I’m here to make it even worse fix that.

I’m not a writer, just a guy whose main base of knowledge is the ins and outs of a dumb, stupid game where ten guys chase a round, rubber disc inside a frozen aquarium sized 200 feet long and 85 feet wide. I’m going to try my best to bring you insights of the game from the brain of someone who suffered multiple head injuries whilst playing said dumb, stupid game, while also injecting a bit of humor and fun, because this is a game after all, is it not?

I work full-time running my family’s small business and obviously that takes full priority over this fun side project, but I am committed to bringing you in-depth weekend previews, game recaps (when I can), recruiting news, and general NCHC and NCAA news that might, could, or will affect Omaha. Eventually if this gains enough traction, and I don’t get banned from Baxter permanently, I would love to also be able to bring you player and staff profiles, behind the scenes looks at the program itself, and ideally so much more.

So we will see how this goes, I’m not promising this will be good, consistent, or consistently good, but I will do my best to close the gap between internal coverage from the program itself and the vast lack of coverage from actual news sources and journalists in this town.

Now if only we could get a roster and a schedule release…
